The Federation

One board, four language regions.

The Swiss Draughts Federation is the national association for draughts in Switzerland, in all its variants: from international draughts on the 10×10 board to Italian, English and Russian draughts on 8×8. It connects clubs and players across the country’s language regions and makes it easy for newcomers to find a game.

We coordinate national tournaments, host the Swiss championships and help clubs grow, from school projects to competitive play.

The Game

One game, many variants

Pieces always move diagonally and capturing is mandatory; what changes is the board, the number of pieces and the powers of the king.
